- Using the Menu, navigate to Settings or Options and Choose Advanced Options than “SIM Card”
- While holding down the SHIFT key, type in “mepd”
- The five locking categories should be listed – SIM, Network, Network Subset, Service Provider and Corporate. Most carriers use network locking, so Network should show “Active”.
- This is where you may have issues, if you are successful, you will be prompted to enter the Unlock Code and it will say how many tries you have left.For All Blackberry SmartPhones:

Type “mep2″ holding the ALT key to get the number 2.Blackberry Pearl 8100:

Now type “mepp2″ while holding ALT to get the 2.Blackberry 8300, 8320, 8800, 8820:
Once in the Options > SIM Card Screen, just type MEPE while holding the ALT key for all letters. - You should now be prompted with a screen asking for the unlock code, enter your unlock code now.
- If successful your phone should now be unlocked and everything should be “Disabled”
