ABC spend the last few days stocking up on five new pilots to run and see where they end up going. ABC picked up a mixed array of programming such as three cop dramas that are almost for sure going to last, a family-centered comedy, and a very unusual primetime drama show that is fantasy-based.
“Castle” from ABC Studios is focused on a horror novelist who is consulting for the NYPD Homicide department.
“The Unusuals” from Sony Pictures TV is a comedy mixed with drama, also knows as a dramedy, set at a New York police precinct.
“Finnegan” is another from ABC Studios, it focuses on the organized crime/vice unit in Los Angeles, which is led by a tough female detective.
“Handbook” is yet another from ABC Studios, is a comedy that showcases a 32 year-old woman whose life consists of taking care of her 16 year old daughter and 48 year old mother.
