Authorities in the midwest have warned that many rivers will rise well above the flood stage. Some places already have been hit with so much rain that city streets have flooded in areas that the streets have accumulated in spots to over 2 feet of water. Many reports have came in regarding motorists who have become stranded due to trying to get away from the floods and not realizing how deep the water is, thus ending up their cars stalling out and not being able to run.
Cleanup for the mess due to all this rain is reported to end up running into the millions. Many people who have lived in the same area for many years have said that this is the first time ever that they have had to flee from the flooding. Unfortunately, there has been a number of deaths reported due to the flooding, and many more injuries. We will keep you updated with any more news that comes in regarding this disaster.
