This news has been circulating around for a few days now, but just to let you all know, check your bank accounts for any unauthorized withdrawls. It seems to be affecting just Toronto Dominion customers, but it doesn’t hurt to check your bank account if you are worried. Apparently lately there has been a slew of bank machines that have been tampered with, criminals installing small pin hole camers over top the keypad on bank machines, to record you PIN number. In conjunction with this, they are installing a small reader over the card reader slot, recording all the info on your card, and being able to duplicate copies of you cards.
With this information, they can create exact replicas of your bank card, they have your PIN number by recording the video of you entering it in, and they can now have complete access to your bank accounts, credit cards, line of credits etc. Reports have been coming in left and right of people losing anywhere from $100 to many thousands of dollars. This has apparently been taking place for over 3 months now. Keep an eye on your bank accounts and if you feel unsafe with using your debit card, always use cash, it seems like its the only way to go.
